10/6/2020 Cooper Security Insert Manual Page
Normally you just continue typing until Word inserts a new page.
Touchpoint is a complimentary installer initiative from Cooper Security developed to help you get the best from our products. Your Touchpoint membership is the key to our dedicated customer service team. Take advantage of this free service, and register your details below. We have model INCERT C0160241. It keeps on ringing indicating low battery. We punch in the code but it stops for only a few minutes. How can we stop this and get some sleep at night? How can we open the box (I have unscrewed the screw but am afraid to break the box which cannot easily be opened when pulled forward towards me from the front base). Normally you just continue typing until Word inserts a new page. However, if you want to force a new page, you can insert a manual page break by pressing Ctrl+Enter. I wrote a macro that inserts a manual page break every time the contents of the selected column change. I also want the page numbering to reset to 1 every time the contents of the selected column change, like if I was in Word and inserted a Section Break. To see how to insert a page break using the paragraph properties, see Paragraph tab. The page break inserted using the paragraph properties is displayed as:----- Page Break -----while the manual insert is displayed as a solid line with text listing the page break type. You can press Ctrl+Enter to quickly insert a page break at the insertion point.
However, if you want to force a new page, you can insert a manual page break by pressing Ctrl+Enter.

You didn't give any details, so you gave me no other choice than guessing what you were trying to do.
If you want to add content from another Word document, just select, copy and paste that content. If you want to start a new page, you do need a manual page break before pasting.

Although you would never guess it from Stefan's answers, English is not his first language, so perhaps he missed the subtle distinction between 'add a page' and 'insert a [W]ord page.' But that is no excuse for being rude to someone who is volunteering his time in an effort to help.

I was not yelling at Stephan, Suzanne S Barnhill.
I was yelling at the stupidity of the programme for not being simple enough to be able to insert another typed work document into an existing one.
I loathe microsoft word and only use excel but I am doing work for someone who requires it all to be on word and it is the most useless programme I have ever had the misfortune to use.
I apologise for the way it came out but my frustration knows no bounds here and it should be really simple to be able to insert a typed word page into another typed word document without having to struggle as I have had to do all day today.
I did the copy and paste thing and it re-arranged all my formatting all over the page and I couldn't unravel it so had to start over several times and am now about ready to uninstall the stupid programme!

You can insert another document: use Insert | Text | Object | Text from File and select the file you want to insert. But if the inserted document has different formatting (different margins, header/footer, number of columns, styles), the result may not be what you want. If you insert a section break at the end of the source file and a section break in the target document and insert the source document after the section break in the target document, you can at least preserve section formatting (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/WorkWithSections.htm; or see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/PasteWithoutSectionInfo.htm and do the opposite).
